CEC Senior Design Showcase Spring 2019

This year’s summit will be the inaugural event, focusing on the transformative impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in sectors such as Healthcare, Finance, Climate, and other thriving technology areas in Miami. The summit aims to serve as a collaborative platform where industry leaders, academic heads, faculty, and students can engage in insightful discussions to better understand the evolving AI landscape, its potential and opportunities, and its implications for workforce development in Miami.

You’re Invited!

The Tech Summit will kick off with a lively registration and networking session, followed by opening remarks from FIU President Jessel and College of Engineering Interim Dean Inés Triay. Our keynote speakers, Pete Martinez and Raul Moas who are accomplished leaders in their fields, will set the stage for the forum conversation by sharing their experiences and observations and providing context for the upcoming panel session. The panel of experts will discuss the impact of AI on their respective fields and explore strategies to adapt to these changes. This interactive session will encourage participation from senior academic leaders, faculty, students, industry, and community leaders. Our Research Symposium that follows will highlight a broad range of experimental technologies created by our faculty experts and graduate students.

On the second day, Director Jason Liu will welcome the attendees and they will listen to an inspiring keynote speech by Joe Smolarski, whose company Kaseya is a leading player in the Miami Tech Movement. More than 100 computing students will present their development work to judges, industry members, and faculty. This event will offer an excellent opportunity for networking and finding new talent.
